Four students from the College’s Department of Global and Community Health received a Community Engagement Medallion for their leadership, service, and activism through partnerships with organizations on and off-campus.

Frese, Norwood, and Conteh-Barrat to be honored at CHHS School of Nursing event. Tickets now available for Honoring Mason Nursing: Past, Present, and Future on April 28 at Fairfax Country Club. 

Mason and Partners (MAP) Clinics received the Innovative Practice or Partnership of the Year award from the Prince William County (VA) Chamber of Commerce 2022 Business Awards for its trailblazing work with the City of Manassas Park Public Health Department and Prince William County Health Department.

Tarang Parekh, PhD candidate in Health Services Research in the Department of Health Administration and Policy (HAP), received a 2021 American Public Health Association (APHA) Career Enhancement Student Scholarship Award for his outstanding peer-reviewed abstract submission, which was selected for an oral presentation by the Disability Section abstract review committee. The virtual oral presentation occurred on Sunday, October 24, 2021.

Two local awards from The Washington Post-American Nurses Association and the Washingtonian Magazine recognize Mason alumni nurses in the 2021 Star Nurses finalists and the 50 Notable Nurses list.
