George Mason’s program receives national honor for innovation in health care administration education.

Professor of global and community health Ali Weinstein has been honored with Society for Health Psychology’s (SfHP) Volunteer of the Year Award for her dedication to service and leadership

Theresa Smith received $5,000 to the advancement of the nursing profession via research.

Mason’s MHA program received the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) award for its cultural competency, community involvement, environmental focus, and accessibility.

Congratulations to the Rising Health Care Leaders at Mason (RHLM) student organization for receiving the Community Enrichment Award at Mason's Distinguished Quill Award Celebration. In addition to RHLM winning the Community Enrichment Award, Rehan Saeed, RHLM's former president and a recent graduate of the Master of Health Administration (MHA) program, received the Mentor of the Year Award.

Congratulations to Master of Social Work student Francesca Keesee for receiving the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) Scholarship for the Department of Social Work. The merit scholarship recognizes Mason students who have shown significant academic achievement and community involvement while completing their program.

The College of Health and Human Services congratulates Jenna Krall and Michael von Fricken on receiving the Teacher of Distinction Award from the Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning.

Four students from the College’s Department of Global and Community Health received a Community Engagement Medallion for their leadership, service, and activism through partnerships with organizations on and off-campus.

Mason and Partners (MAP) Clinics received the Innovative Practice or Partnership of the Year award from the Prince William County (VA) Chamber of Commerce 2022 Business Awards for its trailblazing work with the City of Manassas Park Public Health Department and Prince William County Health Department.
