    Dr. Iulia Fratila is an assistant professor in the Department of Global and Community Health. Fratila’s research interests have practical and scholarly contributions related to health promotion, health education (e.g., drug education, sexual health education) and leisure and health studies. Her teaching repertoire includes classes such as social determinants of health, introduction to public health, ethics in health sciences, and research methods.

    Dr. Sang Daniel Choi, Ph.D., MPH, MS, CSP, CPE is Professor in the Department of Global and Community Health at George Mason University. Choi’s research interests are environmental and occupational health and safety, human factors & ergonomics, total workers health, fall prevention (older adults), and prevention through design (PtD). Choi is a nationally and internationally recognized with extensive knowledge and experience in the occupational and environmental health (OEH) and industrial-community health & safety. Before coming to Mason, Choi was OSH specialist for DHHS CDC/NIOSH Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) Mobility Program, and Professor in the Department of Occupational & Environmental Safety & Health (OESH) at the University of Wisconsin. Choi is a U.S. Board Certified Safety Professional (BCSP), and U.S. Board Certified Professional Ergonomist (BCPE).

    Sarah Liu is the MPH program coordinator with the Department of Global and Community Health. She has a background in global maternal and child health and is passionate about working towards achieving equity in reproductive and sexual health in vulnerable populations. Her passion in Public Health started when she traveled to El Salvador through the alternative trip program at Mason which focused on reproductive health rights in women and adolescents and violence prevention. She has experience in working with organizations working on targeting period poverty and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs).
