The College of Health and Human Services has always held a strong commitment to alternative learning opportunities, and our diverse student body is consistently coming together to bring new perspectives and experiences to address health care needs for the future. CHHS strives to help all of our students succeed in their academic goals, from part time to full time, and on campus to online.
For online learners, studying requires discipline. While online students have access to the same services provided to on-campus students and are taught by the same Mason faculty who teach face-to-face, they are encouraged to become independent learners from managing their time and study schedules to staying motivated, organized, and flexible.
We invite you to review CHHS’ online learning Blackboard page, where you will be able to access:
- Online learning tips and tricks: Getting started, strategies for success, and self-motivation techniques
- Online Tools You Need to Know: Blackboard, Zoom, WebEx, Mason Libraries online services, Handshake, ITS, software access, and more
- Student Resources and Advising: including academic policies and procedures, accessibility information, scholarship and assistance funds, and online etiquette
- Helpful advice: from your peer CHHS Mason online students
