In every unit within our College, there are stellar staff members whose dedication and efficiency are pivotal to its success. This month, we shine the spotlight on Jade Young. Young is an office manager in the School of Nursing and has been with the School since 2021. She is 100%+ dedicated to her work and the School’s success which has been profoundly evident over the last six months while the School has gone through accreditation and the Virginia Board of Nursing’s review of the undergraduate program.
Young’s ability to be well organized and attentive to details has not only streamlined the administrative process but also enhanced the overall productivity of the School of Nursing staff and faculty. She has supported faculty this year in the development, implementation, and successful completion of accreditation reports. Her financial reports are detailed for the school, simulation lab, and clinical partners. She is kind and respectful for all student matters, starting with admission thru graduation celebrations. Young’s knowledge of institutional policies, operations, hospital and clinical partners and genuine support provided to faculty is commendable.
Young is an excellent problem solver. She demonstrates time and again, that she is hardworking, dedicated, and able to multitask responsibilities. She is a team player and demonstrates outstanding skill and talent in her administrative work. Always with a positive attitude, Young provides a cohesive and supportive work atmosphere.
Outside of the School of Nursing, Young loves traveling and spending time with her kiddos. She also enjoys eating and trying new foods. Jade, thank you for all you do.
