- April 19, 2024The Leading Niche CEO Tamara Nall and her husband, Clement Ezeanii, have created the Susanna Ezeanii and Mayfred Jolinda Nall Health Informatics Scholarship Endowment to honor the memories of their mothers while making educational aspirations tangible for College of Public Health students.
- April 15, 2024Sinoxolo “Susan” Favor was doing public health work in her native South Africa long before she enrolled in the College of Public Health at George Mason University. Now Favor is graduating from this spring with a BS in community health from the first college of public health in Virginia.
- April 10, 2024Students from George Mason University’s Department of Nutrition and Food Studies recently visited the men and women of Fairfax Fire Station 33. They taught the firefighters about responsible nutrition habits and cooked nutritious meals for them in the station’s kitchen.
- February 5, 2024Kayla Moore sees testing for sexually transmitted diseases as a key part of public health, and the doorway to a healthy community. Moore is currently getting her Master of Clinical Social Work at George Mason University’s College of Public Health, and in recognition of the 25th anniversary of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, has organized a two-part event at Mason’s Fairfax Campus that speaks to public health.
