June 30, 2014 - CHHS was well represented at the Society for Epidemiologic Research (SER) Meeting in Seattle by recent graduate Taara Bhat (MPH 2014), and Global and Community Health faculty members Anna Pollack and Cara Frankenfeld. Their presentations highlighted some of the mentored and collaborative work happening in GCH. Ms. Bhat presented her first author work (mentored by Drs. Pollack and Frankenfeld) that evaluated the relationship between phthalate exposure and age of menarche. Dr. Frankenfeld presented her work, co-authored by Ms. Bhat and Dr. Pollack, on phthalate exposure and metabolic syndrome in adults. Dr. Pollack also presented her work that looked at the relationship between environmental phenols and reproductive hormones in premenopausal women.
