Biography
Courtney Sims is a double alum of the Department of Global and Community Health in the College of Public Health at George Mason University. Outside the classroom, her career focuses on program evaluation consulting. Sims is an adjunct professor at George Mason University, teaching courses in public health including behavior theory, advocacy, and career readiness for entry-level public health professionals.
Sims has worked in the non-profit and research sectors and has combined those experiences to excel at developing meaningful communication and evaluation materials. Her portfolio includes a wide range of client work including evaluation capacity building for nonprofit leaders, multi-year program monitoring and evaluation, and data visualization and effective reporting. Her main areas of focus center around the social determinants of health, exploring how where we live, work, learn, and play affect our health and the health of the community.
