Lyn Hainge, MS, Health Systems Administration,’05, is the Assistant Public Health Division Chief (Chief Operating Officer) for Arlington County, Virginia.
She has been a leader in the Northern Virginia health care “safety net” for over twenty years, having helped create, govern and/or manage such organizations as Hospice of Northern Virginia (now Capitol Hospice), Northern Virginia AIDS Ministry (NOVAM), Alexandria Neighborhood Health Services, Inc. (the area’s first federally qualified health center), and the Northern Virginia Area Health Education Center (NVAHEC).
As founding Executive Director of NVAHEC, she led the agency to local and national prominence in the field of health care interpretation and translation services. For the two years prior to her position in Arlington County, she was the Executive Director of the Campbell Hoffman Foundation, which funded programs that increased access to health care for the low income uninsured in Northern Virginia.
In addition to her work in health care, Lyn is a member of the Fairfax Choral Society and a past chair of its Board of Directors.
