The American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) recently announced that Dr. Naomi Lynn Gerber is the 2018 recipient of the Frank H. Krusen, MD, Lifetime Achievement Award. Gerber is a university professor in CHHS’s Department of Health Administration and Policy and a contributing researcher to CHHS's Center for the Study of Chronic Illness and Disability.
This award is the academy’s highest honor, which is given to a member who has provided outstanding and unique contributions to the specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation in the areas of patient care, research, education, literary contributions, community service, and involvement in academy activities. The academy noted, “Her generous commitment, extensive service, and continued leadership have been invaluable to the academy and the specialty.” Dr. Gerber, along with the other 2018 AAPM&R award recipients, will be recognized at the 2018 Annual Assembly.
