Matthew Rossheim, assistant professor in the Department of Global and Community Health, was selected as a mentee in the American Academy of Health Behavior’s (AAHB) Research Scholar Mentoring Program for 2016.
The 12-month program facilitates mentoring relationships among junior and seasoned investigator members of AAHB. The program is designed to “cultivate and nurture the next generation of scholars to promote productive research-driven careers that exude excellence in health behavior research.”
Mentees are matched with mentors based on their research interests. Rossheim’s mentor is Mark B. Reed, associate professor in the School of Social Work at San Diego State University. During the next year, Rossheim will work with Reed on several research projects, including secondary data analyses, manuscript generation, and grant applications related to alcohol use.
