On May 2, George Mason’s Department of Health Administration and Policy, AcademyHealth chapter and MHALT (MHA Leaders of Tomorrow), in conjunction with National Capital Healthcare Executives (NCHE), organized an educational and networking event for those interested in changes in the health care industry.
This one-day event, “The New Healthcare Ecosystem: Balancing Technology Innovations and Financial Performance,” was held on George Mason’s Arlington Campus and consisted of four panel discussions. Each panel offered various perspectives on important changes within the health care industry, including career positioning, technology innovation, financial implications of moving from inpatient to outpatient, as well as the effect of changes in health insurance. Notable health care professionals and experts within the industry conducted the panels, allowing for a knowledgeable exchange of important information. Discussions continued on social media using #ecohealth.
