September 23, 2014 - The practicum is a required "real-world" experience for students in the MPH program. Students are placed in a public health-relevant setting and engage in hands-on experience in an area of public health. The students create a poster and report to summarize their experiences. A practicum poster presentation was held August 4th. This summer there was a huge diversity of site types and locations, including Fairfax County, Loudoun County, Sri Lanka, Swaziland, India, and Peru.
