Irene Knoepfel is the Administrative Assistant in the Office of Student Affairs at the College of Public Health. In her role, Irene focuses on ensuring that the College's students, visitors, faculty, and staff have a positive experience through consistent staffing, regular communication, and efficient processes at the front desk in the Office of Student Affairs.
Assistant Director of Practicum Education, Social Work
Liz Laster joined the faculty in Summer 2022 as Assistant Director of Practicum Education. Prior to joining the department of social work, Liz worked as a school social worker with Fairfax County Public schools as well as with therapeutic foster care in Washington, DC.Academic Advisor, CPH

Allison McKay

Department Manager, Nutrition
Allison McKay is the Department Manager for the Department of Nutrition and Food Studies where she provides administrative support to the Chair and Department, and assistance to current and prospective students and visitors. In addition, she assists with the Nutrition programs, the teaching kitchen and nutrition clinics.
Admission Specialist, Office of Student Affairs
Magnolia Morales started her journey of working at George Mason University in 2019. Prior to working at George Mason University, she obtained years of medical and management experience. She began at the Office of Student Affairs as an Administrative Assistant. She is currently an Admission Specialist at the College of Public Health, where she reviews applications involving the Nursing Programs.
Graduate Admissions Coordinator, Office of Student Affairs
Joelle Patricio is a Graduate Admissions Coordinator for the College of Public Health. In her role, she supports the recruitment efforts for all graduate programs and provides guidance and support to students from pre-admission through graduation.

Maria Perez is the Associate Director of Undergraduate Student Success in the Office of Student Affairs within the College of Public Health. She joined the college in January 2017 as an Academic Advisor. Previously, Maria worked with Mason's Office of Admissions, working primarily with transfer and international students.
